Cream and SIRT granted OCE Funding to continue R&D on DDH

Updated: Jun 4, 2020

Cream and Sheridan College's Screen Industries Research & Training Centre (SIRT) have successfully raised funding for another round of R&D through OCE's Voucher for Innovation and Productivity Program (VIP). In April 2020, a team of developers began work on improving and commercializing the Dynamic Digital Human technology so that it could be packaged and used by third party content creators and game developers who have a need for digital humans.

Cream previously worked with SIRT to develop the first avatar featuring Dominic Monaghan (Lost, Lord of the Rings), featured in the award-winning Hulu VR exclusive A Curious Mind, and Cream's upcoming VR game Be Curious.

"It's great to see how SIRT applied research is helping Cream to innovate and push boundaries in a way that opens doors to new business opportunities,” SIRT director David Dexter said. “The ways in which the DDH technology could be applied are endless, and we are very excited about the opportunities that will come out of this partnership.”
